Dimetapp

Dimetapp® is a combination preparation marketed for the common cold. It contains brompheniramine (an antihistamine), dextromethorphan (an antitussive or cough suppressant), phenylephrine and phenylpropanolamine (decongestants). Dimetapp is effective for relieving the symptoms of colds, coughs and allergies. Dimetapp Elixir and Colour Free Elixir relieve nasal congestion, runny nose, itchy watery eyes and sneezing. Dimetapp DM and Dimetapp DM Colour Free Elixir is suitable for colds with dry coughs. All Dimetapp Elixirs are sugar-free and they are suitable for children aged 6-12 years.

Dimetapp is only available in pharmacies. As this is a pharmacy medicine, it should be kept out of the reach of children. The label should always be read before consumption and the product should only be used as directed. If symptoms persist, a Healthcare Professional should be consulted.
