Talk:Digital television in Europe

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Is this article meant to be about High Definition or Digital television as it seems to be trying to be both but not suceeding. HDTV and DTV are not the same thing albeit HDTV needs DTV, not all DTV is HD. --Achmelvic 23:22, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

Agreed. All references to HD should be removed from this article IMHO except perhaps for one cross-reference link.John259 20:39, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

I agree too, this page is quite confusing now. Header is Digital television in Europe, and so text should not be only about High Definition like it's now. Both SDTV and HDTV are digital television, both use DVB. (Antinpoika 10:29, 3 December 2006 (UTC))

I have now deleted the irrelevant HD material at the start of the article. John259 14:37, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

Where's all the Germany-related info? --User:DanCBJMS via 134.117.168.232 04:26, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

This article was created a while ago by merging the European part of List of digital television deployments by country with High-definition television in Europe. The reasons for this where not clear and I'd say it wasn't very good, the article a bit messy and HDTV and digital TV are two different things. I'd suggest that the article is de-merged and cleaned up. Väsk 18:34, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
