"Digsy's Dinner" is a song by Britpop rock band Oasis, written by Noel Gallagher from their debut album Definitely Maybe. It was accidentally misspelt Digsy's Diner upon its North American release.

One of the more light-hearted tracks by the band, it was inspired by Liverpudlian miscreant and friend of the members of Oasis, Digsy Deary, singer with Smaller, now known as The Sums. Digsy is an eccentric character, and Oasis producer Mark Coyle once observed that "meeting him is like opening a bag of monkeys". Noel claims Digsy has been known to write some of the most offensive songs he has ever heard.

The lyric to the song is a nonsense rhyme about the singer's desire to take someone back their house for lasagne and strawberries and cream. The song originated from an incident in a Manchester club when Oasis members Noel and Guigsy performed with Digsy. Noel was on drums and Guigsy on bass whilst Digsy sang a random lyric made up on the spot which went: "Guess what I had for my tea?/Guess what I had for my tea?/It was lasagne!/It was lasagne!"

Digsy claims to hate the song, but adds "it has bought [him] many a drink". In retaliation, he wrote a song called "Noel's Nose". Digsy talks in full about this on the Definitely Maybe DVD.

Liam Gallagher, Oasis' vocalist, now refuses to perform the song claiming "I will sing any song anywhere. Unless it's 'Digsy's Dinner'".

Mark Coyle and Digsy tour together quite frequently with bands such as Liquid Sunshine, The Last Tycoons, Rob Smith at various venues especially in Ireland in recent times.

Digsy is also mentioned in the title track of the album Be Here Now in the lyric "Your shit jokes remind me of Digsy's."

On November 27, 2006, the confusion about the song was cleared up when Noel Gallagher was interviewed by George Stroumboulopoulos on the Canadian news and talk show, The Hour. In the past Noel had frequently yelled at people for requesting "Digsy's Diner". But the album released in Canada and the United States had a typo, printed on the album jacket as "Digsy's Diner," not "Digsy's Dinner". Noel was unaware of this until Stroumboulopoulos pointed it out to him. "Well no wonder there's been all that confusion, this is the first time I've noticed this", he said. "That's a typing mistake, well I never...I apologize to anyone I've said, 'it's fucking Dinner'".^[1]
