Digital artifact

Digital artifacts, not to be confused with chromatic aberrations, are visible defects in a digital photo or video picture. Digital artifacts usually occur in the video process because of cross color and cross luma.
Two types of digital artifacts are purple fringing and JPEG artifacts.
