Digger is the first episode of the second series of British T.V. sitcom Bottom. It was first broadcast on the 1st October, 1992.

After visiting a dating agency, Richie and his 'Butler', Jives (Eddie) prepare to entertain aristocracy, with Richie having sold his kidney on the black market to afford the caviar.

The episode begins with the pair in Lily Linneker's Love Bureau. They are watching the love videos they made earlier. Eddie's video is typically boisterous and frisky. Richie's is characteristically nervous. His pick-up lines include: "lovely weather", and "I cant see you all but I bet you all have smashing blouses on." At the end of the video he says that he's the wealthy Duke of Kidderminster.

The manager matches Richie with the third Viscountess of Moldavia. Eddie turns down his date, one Sarah Fergusson. When they go back to their flat to get ready for the date, Richie reveals that he sold a kidney for £300 to pay for the evening. he said "it better go bloody right". The doorbell rings and Eddie (Jives) answers the door. It is a charity collector, but Eddie assumes that it is Richie's date and tries to take her coat. She wouldn't co-operate so Eddie punches and a scuffle ensues. Eddie says, "are you gonna come in or what?" She announces that she is collecting for victims of domestic violence. Eddie then kills her by hitting her with a wooden mallet. Eddie gos back into the living room where Richie is in his underpants. Shortly the Viscountess arrives and says she's late because there is a dead body on the stairs. She comes in and they sit down to dinner. Richie repeatedly finds double entendre in what Eddie is saying while he serves the food. They eat but Eddie and Richie fight. After dinner, Richie asks the Viscountess to marry him. She accepts, so Richie asks her if she believes in sex before marriage. She says that she does and they go to Richies room. She gets into his bed. However, before they can have sex Richie's organs backfire as a result of the black market kidney-removal operation. In the ambulance, Eddie reveals that during the four-hour wait for the emergency services, he and the Visconutess passed the time by repeatedly having sex. The show ends with Richie applying a defibrillator to Eddie's head.

Lisa Maxwell, who plays Lily Lineker, had her own comedy show before appearing in this episode and went on the star in The Bill.
