Talk:Differences between managerial accounting and financial accounting

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It should be merged into Financial accounting not Accounting per se. --Diligent 16:32, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

  • Surely Accounting is the article in which to compare two strands of the discipline Signor Eclectic 19:55, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
  • A short one liner explaining the difference in each of the topics articles is enough. Making reference to the articles on Financial Accountancy in the Managerial accounting article and vice versa would be enough to explain the differences. "Differences" to me does not deserve an article of its own. I would remove it as the information is adequately found in other articles. NilssonDenver 13:11, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
I agree. It should be part of Financial Accounting. It gives readers who are not familiar with Accounting terminology an overview of two of the most important Accounting specialization. Modelwatcher 08:56, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
As per Talk:Accountancy, such a comparison is not needed in the main article. Managerial accounting is already listed in the short list of topics in accounting. It has no more relevance than the rest of the topics in the list.  VodkaJazz / talk  13:21, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
