Diener

The word Diener is derived from German: "Leichendiener", which means ‘servant for the dead.’
In a morgue, a Diener (also referred to as a morgue attendant) is the person responsible for handling, moving, and cleaning the body.
Season 5, Episode 14 of Homicide: Life on the Street, in which a morgue attendant is suspected of stealing pesonal items from the bodies of murder victims, is titled "Diener."
