Diederik Samsom

Diederik Maarten Samsom (10-07-1971, Groningen) is a Dutch politician. He lives in Leiden, and is since 30 January 2003, a member of the the Tweede Kamer for the Dutch Labour Party (PvdA).
In 1989, he received his gymnasium-diploma at the "Stedelijk Gymnasium" in Leeuwarden. Afterwards, he studied nuclear physics at the Delft University of Technology, obtaining a degree in 1997. Before his career in the Tweede Kamer, he was an activist for Greenpeace.
Diederik Samsom is married and has one daughter and one son.
