Dick Wilson (born Richard Wilson on July 30, 1916) is an American character actor who played the role of finicky grocery store manager Mr. (George) Whipple in Charmin toilet paper television commercials (19651989, 1999).

Wilson was born in England to an Spanish-Scottish father, Randolph Wilson (who was fighting in World War I) and an English mother, Victoria Wilson. In late 1916, his father brought him and his mother back to Hamilton, Ontario, Canada where he was raised.

Wilson also made 16 or 17 appearances as several characters on the television sitcom Bewitched, usually as the drunk, but sometimes a neighbor or other stock character (various episodes between #33 and #247).

He is the father of actor Melanie Wilson.
