Dick Orkin is an award-winning voice actor and commercial radio producer who created such series as Chickenman and Tooth Fairy. His well-known voice has been used in many radio advertisements and public-service announcements. He is one of the founders of Radio Ranch

He first took aim at the world of advertising in Chicago in 1973, scoring national acclaim with comedy radio commercials for Time Magazine, GMAC, The GAP and many others.' For more than a decade, his radio spots -- mini dramas, actually, which NEWSWEEK dubbed "The Advertising Theater of the Absurd" -- have garnered countless trophies from virtually every advertising competition around.

Orkin graduated with a B.A. in Speech and Theater from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, attended Yale Drama School in pursuit of an MFA in Theater. He also holds an MA degree in Clinical Psychology from Phillips Graduate Institute.'
