Dick John Cherry

Dick John Cherry (born February 28, 1937) is a former ice hockey player, and brother of cultural figure Don Cherry. Cherry played junior hockey for the Barrie Flyers, then professional hockey for the Boston Bruins for the 1956 - 1957 season. Only playing in the NHL for one season, Cherry moved back to Junior hockey, playing for the Kingston Frontenacs, scoring 60 goals in 53 games. Cherry retired to teach high-school in Kingston, 1963 - 1965. In the 1968 - 1969 season, Cherry returned to the NHL to play for the Philadelphia Flyers, where he remained for 2 years.
He played 145 NHL games in total; 6 with the Boston Bruins and 139 with the Philadelphia Flyers.
