Dick Cole

Dick Cole (1968-) is a councillor, and the leader of Mebyon Kernow, a Cornish autonomist movement since the 1997. He lives in Fraddon, a village in Mid-Cornwall.

As well as his political activities Cole is currently an archaeologist working for the Cornwall archaeological unit based in Truro [1] His wife Ann, is also an archaeologist.

Prior to becoming party leader in 1997, he was press officer for the five years previous.

In the 2005 general election he stood in North Cornwall, and gained 1351 votes, coming fifth. He is on Restormel Borough Council representing St Enoder.
