Dic Ann's Hamburgers

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dic Ann's Hamburgers is a local fast-food restaurant chain centered on Montreal, Canada. Founded in 1954, Dic Ann's is best known for its uniquely thin hamburgers and its poutine. The chain's unusual fare has earned it a cult status among devotees. Their hamburgers are definitely not meant to be eaten while driving, as the spicy sauce that is placed on top of the burger patty makes it something to use two hands to eat. Their french fries are cooked in 100% peanut oil. They serve Pepsi, and there are many signed photos and hockey sticks from famous Montrealers and celebrities.

The chain consists of 10 restaurants in the greater Montreal area, most in suburban locations such as Montréal-Nord, Dorion, Ville d'Anjou, Laval and Terrebonne. The location closest to downtown Montreal is located on St-Jacques Street in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce.

Despite the chain's reputation in Montreal, it does not have a website nor are any of its restaurants listed in local phone directories.
