Talk:Diary of a Rock'n'Roll Star
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This a first draft, but pretty much finished. Will make some minor changes in the next 24 hours. Also will upload a pic of book's cover.
Any suggestions... please advise.

- One thing that might improve the article would be adding page number citations for the quotations. JordeeBec 17:39, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
Please be careful about editing the direct quotes from the book... unless you have the actual book in front of you. I took the exact language from the book... and skipped over a few words for brevity (which is perfectly acceptable as long as one does not change the meaning)... probably using an ellipsis "..." to indicate this fact. Now I'm gonna have to go back to the book and try to find the 2 quotes :)
And to JB... the page citations may be different depending on whether you own the original collector's item or the re-published version. They may look nearly identical... but I'd be surprised if the pages line up exactly :)

OK. I changed the quotes back to exactly match the 1996 edition. An ellipsis "..." was used to show where I skipped a few words. Please do not change the quotes unless you have the Diary in front of you. I also added the page numbers from the 1996 reprint edition as suggested by JordeeBec. Also, I regretfully deleted the "dispels popular illusions" phrase because it's redundant when so near "strips away the glittering facade". The latter phrase is directly from the back of the 1996 edition. I also moved Per Stam's very interesting essay to a permanent location and restored the link. Regards to all Ian Hunter fans!
