The thing to do would be to stick the {{hangon}} template in the body of the article.

That lets any interested sysop know that you are contesting the speedy delete.

Don't be surprised or take it personally, if other editors wish to edit the article to be more encyclopedic.

This is probably an AfD matter anyway, as the musician seems to fail WP:MUSIC. However, that is a matter of deliberation and not speedy delete (provided that copyright permission were given). Geogre 12:42, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
