The remix of the song was, the original song, which this article is about, wasn't, though the video was.

Why isnt there any mention of the David Banner remix that prompted the re-recording by Kanye with more politically sensitive lyrics?

Which version won best rap song 2006? The original or remix? The article seems to imply the remix, but I can't seem to be able to find out for sure. All the official stuff I find has no (Remix) mentioned. It should be more clear.
