Does Dial really own Right Guard and Soft-n-Dry? I thought that they were from Procter & Gamble; they at least certainly were with Gillette before P&G bought them out. Did P&G have to sell them in order to complete its buyout of Gilette? Rlquall 13:29, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

Yes, they did have to sell. It is my understanding that Gillette did indeed have to divest of its deodorant brands in order for the P&G buyout to be approved by US regulators [1]. The announcement that Dial would be the acquirer was made in late February. [2].--Msr69er 15:13, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
