Where is this permission that Coolcat notes, and who is it from? I don't see it.

I'm deleting the the page and restoring it with non-copyvio portions (after an extended listing on Wikipedia:Copyright problems.)

Do not re-add copyrighted material until permission is received. If you do receive permission, note it clearly; who it is from, what it says, in regards to what website, with dates, etc. I can't make any sense of the supposed permission above, it's a mess--Duk 18:22, 24 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I'm afraid your request didn't make it clear that the information would be released under the GFDL license and could be and will be copied all over the Internet. This isn't appropriate copyright release. RickK 17:01, 27 Apr 2005 (UTC)

  • Keep deleted. Cool Cat was dishonest from the beginning about this posting, denying at first that it was copyrighted, then claiming he had prior permission, then claiming he got permission after the fact (see discussion currently on my talk page). Furthermore, the text was copied from two websites, and the e-mail he speaks of at best covered one. If he likes the show that much, it shouldn't be a problem for him to use his own words to expand the new article. Postdlf 18:21, 27 Apr 2005 (UTC)

  • Note: I was the person clearing copivios who deleted part of this article. There were two copyvios from two different websites. Coolcat claims he got permission from one of the sites and notes this on the talk page. But he is unable to tell which site he got permission from, so I deleted both copyvios until Coolcat can figure out which is which. Coolcat asked me to look at the order of deletions and additions to the article, with respect to when the permission note was added on the talk page and this would tell me which website the permission is from. I'm not going to clear copyvios based on information like this. If someone else would like to- be my guest.--Duk 12:17, 30 Apr 2005 (UTC)

"The show is such a hit that it is known for making superstars out of the people that appear in it." - I removed this once because I would have said that its speculative, and I reckon untrue. Would anybody else agree that the statement should be removed? Thought I'd better check as its been re-added to the article and my feel strongly as to why it should be included. Everyone in the show has continued to do well since the apperance in it, usually better than they were before.

A superstar is more like Madonna, Brad Pitt, etc. Whilst the stars of the show may have done better, they hardly have superstar status. Hellfire83 14:24, 15 February 2006 (UTC)

A strange diagnosis (excuse the pun). How is Brad Pitt a superstar outside your own opinion (most people couldn't care less about him, his movies, or, his life) and as for Madonna, while she still has fans, many consider her a has been who once made some good music, not a superstar. Fans of Tom Cruise could argue he is a superstar and Brad Pitt is not. The fact is any famous person with a big enough fan base can be called a Superstar and Barry Van Dyke, as well as the rest of the cast of this top hit show, are well qualified, thanks to the genius that is Diganosis Murder. The only person this show didn't "make" a superstar was Dick Van Dyke as he already was one, however, it gave him a huge resurgence.

I have noticed that now Dr. Jesse Travis, Lieutenant Detective Steve Sloan, Dr. Amanda Bentley, Dr. Jack Stewart, Norman Briggs, and Delores Mitchell now have their own character pages.

Also, Dr. Mark Sloan links to Grey's Anatomy. The link for this show is now Dr. Mark Sloan (Diagnosis: Murder). This was a recent change and needs to be updated on all of the preexisting pages.

Someone with extra time might want to consider making these changes. ~Gatorgirl623~

I am thinking we need a section in the main article for smaller, reoccuring guest stars. For example,
