Diane Valentine was a fictional character on the Channel 4 British television soap opera Hollyoaks. She was played by actress Pauline Black in 2006.

Diane, mother of three, was the archetypal matriarch, and after her separation from her husband, Leo Valentine ten years ago, she had single-handedly brought up her children. Her children seemed to have adopted her independence, ambition and tenacity.
Diane didn't notice her son Sonny acting strangely and wearing expensive brands of clothing but she was proud of Calvin becoming a police officer but was heartbroken when he announced that he was moving out not long after the family moved into the village.
When Calvin noticed that Diane was upset by his leaving, he decided to stay, but Diane had already gone out to buy a meal for Calvin's last day with the family. When she reached her car after going to the shops, she dropped her keys and didn't notice Jake Dean in his car driving down the road at full speed before it was too late, and she was knocked down.
