Dianalund municipality

Dianalund municipality is a municipality (Danish, kommune) in West Zealand County on the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in east Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 67 km², and has a total population of 7,406 (2005). Its mayor is Per Hovmand, a member of the Conservative People's Party (Det Konservative Folkeparti) political party.

The main town and the site of its municipal council is the town of Dianalund.

Neighboring municipalities are Stenlille to the east, Jernløse and Tornved to the north, Høng to the west, and Slagelse to the south.

By January 1, 2007 Dianalund municipality will cease to exist as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It will be merged with existing Sorø and Stenlille municipalities to form the new Sorø municipality. This will create a municipality with an area of 317 km² and a total population of 28,336 (2005). The new municipality will belong to the new Region Sjælland ("Region Zealand").
