Diana Fowley is a fictional character on the FOX television show The X-Files. She was played by Mimi Rogers.

She first appeared in the Season 5 finale and recurred through Season 6 and early Season 7. She and Fox Mulder were romantically involved before the timeframe of the show, shortly after Mulder graduated from the FBI Academy; Fowley had a background in "parascience" according to the Lone Gunmen, and when Mulder discovered the X-Files, she partnered with him on them. Like Alex Krycek and other associates of the Cigarette Smoking Man - who said of Fowley that she was the only person he trusted (Two Fathers (6x11)) - she had complex motivations and at times seemed to work for different sides. She formed an alliance with CSM, and helped him kidnap Mulder to perform experimental brain surgery on him. She then has a change of heart, and aided Scully in finding and rescuing Mulder. She was murdered shortly afterward by the men she betrayed.

Fowley re-entered Fox Mulder's life in 1998 during the investigation on the murder attempt on ten-year-old chess prodigy Gibson Praise (The End (5x20)). She was shot while on duty protecting Gibson. Three months later, she had made a full recovery, and was assigned to the X-Files upon their reopening, as Jeffrey Spender's partner. The two served as agents-in-charge while investigating a mysterious creature loose in an Arizona power plant (The Beginning (6x01)). However, she is not shown to have investigated any other cases while assigned to The X-Files. By the time Spender requested to be reassigned, (One Son (6x12)), Fowley had apparently removed herself completely from FBI affiliation; Mulder and Scully were reassigned to the X-Files with no mention of Fowley's position or participation.
