Diamond Creek is a railway station in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located in the suburb of Diamond Creek, on the Hurstbridge railway line. It is in Metcard Zone 2.

Diamond Creek is unofficially a Host Station, due to Connex staff having to work the safeworking equipment.

[edit] Location

The station is located at the northern end of the Hurstbridge Road level crossing. Shops are located near the station.

[edit] Facilities

The station consists of two side platforms. Platform 1 contains a large weatherboard building, while platform 2 contains a small shelter. A large Metcard machine is located at the entrance to platform 1, which is able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes and coins. (most trains depart platform 1 so there is nothing on platform 2.)There are toilets on platform 1 (which are mostly closed) and a pay phone on the southern end of platform 1.

Both platforms can be accessed via Hurstbridge Road.

[edit] History
