Dhoom Machaao Dhoom is a local Hindi programme aired on Disney Channel India. It started on 8th January 2007 with a 1 hour special introductory episode. The show which is a hit among children of the ages 4-14, airs Monday-Thursday at 7.30 pm.

[edit] Synopsis
The story follows the life of Priyanka who has just returned from the US with her mother and confronts arrival and adjustment problems, as those around her say she is not in sync with India.
The story moves on to include Priyanka’s three friends, Malini, Ambika (Bikki), and Kajal – their acceptance of her, and the foursome’s journey to create a band, which sparks off differences in mindsets between them.Priyanka wants to create original compositions whereas her friends prefer remixes and Bollywood numbers.Further problems are caused by Koel,the school's queen bee and her gang.
It is a journey of adjustment and growing up, of hope and despair, of success and failure in the context of preteens. Full of fun and laughter this series depicts youth related matters in a manner that is light hearted and entertaining.

Priyanka Sethi played by Toral Rasputra(born on JUNE 23)
A foreign returned girl.She is also goofy and ends up creating chaos where there is none.She is the idealistic student who wants to break the stereotypes at school.She is looked upon as an idol by other girls.She is bubbling with new ideas ,some of which get her into trouble.she is a bit clumsy and ends up creating chaos everywhere she goes.She has a very loving and understanding mother whereas her father is not shown and remains a mystery.She has a habit of humming to herself even in the middle of class because she is busy composing new tunes.she is also addicted to saying "maaf ki jiye ga."It in the initial episodes she bumps into many people like lekha maam and shenaz maam. When she bumped into Lekha maam she saved the class from the English test unknowingly.
Malini Sharma played by Sriti Jha(born on July 6)
The simple girl next door,Malini is the superstitious one of the lot.She has a great crystal clear voice but sings only bhajans at home.She is in love with Amir.She comes from a very conservative family.She is scared of her strict father who strongly disapproves anything that is related to Bollywood and anything that is westernised.He doesn't allow her to come home late after 7pm.whenever she goes to perform for Pink band she lies to her dad that she is going to attend satsang or special class.Her only sources of support are her mom and older sister.
Kajal Jain played by Aanchal Bharti(born on APRIL 8)
A rebel without any cause in the show.She has problems with her stepmom and refuses to accept her as her mother.She gets angry at the drop of a hat.Kaajal is the angsty drummer of the Pink band.Even though she comes across as a rebel ,she is good at heart and loyal to her friends.She likes to think of herself as a tomboy but her attractive looks and rebellious streaks find her many admirers.She is also very fast in picking fights and disliking people, especially Addy and Koel.
Ambika Gill(Bikki) played by Maanvi Gagroo(born on SEPTEMBER 4)
A typical Punjabi girl who at the same time is a Bollywood freak.The quintessential girl,Ambika puts up a show wherever she goes.She is the one who infuses the fun element and lightheartedness to everything around her.She is a happy-go-lucky girl with a song on her lips and her heart on her sleeve she lives for the moment.She along with her family provides light heartedness to every situation.

Koel Tolani played by Nidhi Tikoo(born on June 3)
The leader of Fire-n-Ice the band and the Captain of her class .The leader of the Kool Kats,she is a snob and a spoilt brat.She is talented but arrogant and uses her money and power to get what she wants.She along with Varun,whom she is attracted to, creates problems for Pink band.She steals the idea of band formation from Pink band and forms a band of her own.Koel tries her best to beat the Pink band.
Amir Hasan played by Vikrant Massey(born on October 10)
Senior to Malini and is in love with her.He also works in the cafe 'Braganza's as part time to support his education.Amir is quiet,intelligent, handsome ,reserved and is Varun's rival.He is also a member of the basketball team.Mr. and Mrs. Braganza are like his parents.He is an orphan and Mr. and Mrs.Braganza took care of him from his childhood days.His Friends are Addy,Psycho,Motu and the girls of Pink Band.He was also in the running for sports captain.one of his hobbies also include writing poems espeacially for his sweetheart Malini.
Adiraj Sherawat(Addy) played by Kinshuk Mahajan (born on november 16 )
A very good friend of Pink band members.He likes to be called 'Addy the daddy of the cool' .Addy is the male counterpart of Bikki (except the Bollywood element) and comedy is his middle name.He is the joker of the group.He has a knack of saving his friends when they are in tricky situations. Also it seems that he and Kajjal have some kind of chemistry between them because when all her friends refused to go with her,it was Addy who helped her in thinking of a solution.A possible romance in the future.
Varun Bhaskar played by Jay Bhanushali (born on November 4)
The school sports captain and also the most popular guy in school.He joins Fire n Ice due to his hatred for Priyanka.Eventually Koel starts to fall for him.He acts sweet with Priyanka in order to steal her original compositions and succeeds.he got rusticated from Heritage High because of bullying Amir and reading his personal diary.
Sameer Motwani played by Nirav Soni(born on November 23)
A friend of Addy,Amir and Psycho who is scared of girls.his friends call him Motu because he always keeps thinking of food.Sameer Motwani is an aspiring fashion designer and faints when any girl touches him.his best friend is Psycho who boosts his confidence and also helps him out when it comes to mingling with girls.He likes Ambika of the Pink band.
Cyrus Kachwalla(Psycho) played by Danesh Irani(born on December 2)
Another friend of the Pink band.Psycho is rather given towards analysing situations and calculating outcomes of this and that.He is Motu's best friend.he is the son of Heritage High's coach.

Principal of Heritage High
He is a strict principal but cares a lot for his students and always tries to bring out the creativity in them and supported Priyanka's idea of forming music band.He always stands up for truth and never bears injustice.
Shenaz Ma'am played by Nazneen Madan
Music teacher of Heritage High.She is partial to Fire-n-Ice and Koel and Varun are her favourite students.
Lekha Ma'am played by Sujata Sehgal
The exceedingly strict English lecturer at Heritage High.She is very fair though , and will always get to the heart of a situation instead of jumping into it headfirst like Shenaz ma'am.She inwardly despises Shenaz Ma'am and shows it only subtly.
Tanya and Sanya played by Neha Saroopa and Pooja Saroopa respectively
Twin sisters who are Koel's sidekicks and members of Fire n Ice.They are as Addy calls them Koel's 'chamchis'
Rajeev Tolani
He will do anything for his daughter, Koel, whom he calls 'my princess'. He is currently doing his best to get Amir into trouble because Koel wants him to do that.
Anmol Jain played by Vikrant Siraj
He is Kajal's Father,a bussiness man who owns a radio station who loves his daughter a lot and fulfils all her demands,still he is upset with her because she always acts rude with her step mom and refuses to accept her as her mom.
Mrs.Jain
She is Anmol Jain's second wife and kajal's step mom.kajal refuses to accept her as her mother and avoids her,but Mrs.Jain loves kajal and cares a lot for her.she is in the hope that one day her daughter will accept her as her mother and love her back.
Brijbushan Sharma played by Paritosh Sand
He is Malini's dad and a principal of some college.he is very strict and disciplined.he never lets his daughters come home late after 7pm or take part in fashion shows or other activities.all that he allows them is to attend satsang and that too with his consent.
Sarla Sharma
She is Malini's mom and is always there to support Malini and tries to hide the fact that Malini is a part of pink band from Malini's Dad.
Madhu Sharma
She is Malini's sister.Her dream was to become a model but her strict father never allowed her to fulfil her dream.but now she wants her sister Malini to follow her dreams without getting scared of anyone.
Priyanka's Mom played by Meher Acharia
She loves and understands her daughter a lot and whenever Priyanka looses confidence her mom is always there to support her and boosts her confidence.she is a divorcee and her husband(Priyanka's dad) lives separately.
Beeji
She is Bikki's grandmother suffering from hearing problems and partial memory loss.she always roams around with a gun in hand.
Mr.Braganza and Mrs.Braganza
They are the owners of cafe Braganza's near Heritage High where Aamir works as part time.they treat Aamir like their own child.
Loveleen played by Bhakti Rathod
Ambika's cousin who spies on Pink for Koel and is a toublemaker.she likes to be called 'lovely' though her name is Loveleen.

- The songs are sung by Shreya Ghosal,one of the leading female playback singers in Bollywood.
- The music is composed by Bollywood director, Shantanu Moitra.Moitra has composed movies for big budget movies like Parineeta,Eklavya,Lage Raho Munna Bhai etc.
- The pilot episode also included a special performance by Sanchita Bhattacharya, the winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs contest on Zee TV.
- Toral Rasputra who plays Priyanka Sethi,has done a small role in the show Rishton Ki Dor which airs on Sony Entertainment Television (India) as protagonist's friend Shaina and has also done ads for a range of products.
- Maanvi Gagroo who plays Ambika Gill(Bikki) attended Channel V auditions.but wit escaped her when she was told, "Introduce yourself in the form of a joke."
- Jay Bhanushali who played Varun Bhasker left Dhoom Machaao Dhoom because he is playing the lead role of Neev in a Balaji Telefilms show called Kayamath and according to Balaji's contract he is not allowed to do any other shows for a limited time.
- Vikrant Siraj who plays Anmol Jain was earlier seen as Vicky in Piya Ka Ghar
- The actor who plays Rajeev Tolani has appeared opposite Shahrukh Khan in a 'Compaq' ad.He has also appeared in a Maggi noodles advertisement.
- Paritosh Sand who plays Brijbushan is also acting in the shows Kumkum - Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan and Kajjal which airs on STAR Plus and Sony Entertainment Television respectively.
