Dhirendra Verma was a very prominent Hindi poet.He headed the Hindi department of Allahabad University for several years.He wrote many books some of which have become classics .Along with Rahul Sankrityayan he represented the spatial and temporal dimensions of Akshayat.He also nurtured many prominent literateurs one of whom was Dharamvir Bharati who edited the hugely popular Dharmayug.
