Dharma Productions is a film company founded by Yash Johar in 1976.
The first film to be produced by the company was Dostana (1980) and went on to produce many more action films. In 1998, Mr. Johar's son Karan Johar made his directorial debut with the film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. The film was one of the biggest hits of the year.
