Dhaka Residential Model College

Dhaka Residential Model College is a famous educational institution situated at the heart of Dhaka the capital of Bangladesh. This institution was setup to provide quality education to the students of the erstwhile East Pakistan. It was setup in 1960 by the then military dictator of Pakistan basically to train the students as future army officers . The school and later the college was setup in the structure of the British public school. After the independence of Bangladeshthe school and college became one of the best educational institutions of the country. Each year it produces bright and talented students to later excel in various fields. Till today the institution is producing significant number of Engineers, Doctors, Army Officers, Public servants, Politicians, Cultural Dignitories in Bangladesh.

The school provides hostels with a very congenial atmosphere . For the junior sections the halls are "Joynul Abedin Hall" and "Qudrat-E-Khuda Hall". For the senior sections the halls are "Kazi Nazrul Islam hall", "Sher-e-Bangla Hall","Lalan Shah Hall". The main attraction of the school is its open fields. It has got 18 full size football fields which is almost unimaginable in the conjested city of Dhaka. The compound also incorporates teacher's quarter, a modern Mosque , a pond . The classes are taken in the "School Building" and the "College Building" . The teachers of this school are very friendly and supportive. The school organizes extra-curricular activities every week for all classes which goes a long way to nourish the personality and individuality of the students.DRMC is certainly a great place to study.
