Dhadingbesti

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dhading besi is actually two words. The word 'besi' in nepali means valley bottom, which is why many people settled here. Most of or all of the government activities for this district are located here. Buildings like the Forestry Center, Soil Conservation Center, Animal Husbandry center, Hospital, and Bus Park are located here. As of 2000 plans were in place to pave the road leading to King Prithivi Highway; if it was started and/or completed I don't know. The town is divided into three parts along the main road: bus park bazaar, middle bazaar, and electricity bazaar. Electricity bazaar is (was?) the end of motorized road travel. Dhading Besi is located along the banks of two small rivers that run year road, heaviest during the monsoon season. There are small restaurants and hotels dotted along the road but the absolute best place to eat is the Tarpula Hotel, which is located in the "electricity bazaar". Otherwise much of the town is surrounded by rice and wheat fields.
