DFN may also refer to Dual Flat No Lead.

DFN, full name "Deutsches ForschungsNetz e.V.", is the German computer network for the academic and research purposes.

DFN has operated since 1984. Its current network is called "X-WiN", it operates on multi-Gigabit speeds, and is linked with 10G links to GEANT (European Backbone). The previous name was "G-WiN".
