Talk:Dewey B. Larson/Saved2
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is a short, factual, and in my opinion encyclopedic article about Larson: ie. he existed, he wrote books and developed a theory (which is mentioned in passing) inspired by a revered and famous (but now ignored Aussie) philosopher. These are matters of history and should be recorded. It contains all I believe needs be said about the Reciprocal System, it does not push the theory or promote it any way (you could barely tell what it was actually). It is sufficently negative as to frighten away small children and intellectually vulnerable undergraduate physics students. I see no need for supporters to ever add to it nor detractors to subtract from it. I am trying to offer a compromise solution. Infradig (andrew) 01:05, 2 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Also, I don't speak for Doug here and have not discussed this with him. Doug speaks for the board of ISUS but I speak for myself and as someone interested in compromise. Infradig (andrew) 04:07, 2 Sep 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Something weird has happened?
(William M. Connolley 12:12, 2 Sep 2004 (UTC)) Looking at the history of this page, and its talk page, it seems something weird has happened. I guess the page was deleted, but not the talk page?
Anyway, just for the record, I have no objections to this article as it currently stands and agree with Infradig's "This is a short, factual..." para above.
Something yes did happen. I surmise that a picture was here and that's all.
- Ok, I think I figured it out and see what you mean.
One obstacle, the first para contains potentially copyrighted material from the ISUS web-site. I really only did this as a proof of concept. I do not have authorization to include it if so. Only Doug could do that, else it must be rewritten as an original piece. Infradig (andrew) 12:38, 2 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- (William M. Connolley 13:11, 2 Sep 2004 (UTC)) Seems to be factual info, which isn't copyright-able, so should be OK.

- The site makes no copyright claim over general content so shouldn't be a problem. Infradig (andrew) 13:42, 2 Sep 2004 (UTC)
