www.cricketforindia.com, India’s first website dedicated to cricket coaching, was launched in Mumbai on 25th June 2004.
The site features a variety of articles and slideshows that can help budding cricketers and cricket-enthusiasts learn the intricacies and technicalities of their favourite sport.
www.cricketforindia.com enables users to keep track of the developments in any international cricket match through the ‘live’ match score section. It also has sections showcasing the laws of the game, cricketing history, and player and ground profiles.
The site is also home to a comprehensive quiz and trivia section, which will test the knowledge of avid cricket-lovers.
Cricketforindia.com has organised cricket clinics for corporates and quizzes in Mumbai in the two years since its inception. It organised a clinic for employees of Tata Consultancy Services in February 2005.
It also held a three-day cricket quiz between two of Mumbai's prominent cricketing schools; Don Bosco, Matunga, and IES Bandra, in January 2005.
The site is managed by Devendra Prabhudesai, a Mumbai-based cricket writer who has recently penned ‘The Nice Guy Who Finished First’, a bestselling biography of Indian captain Rahul Dravid.
