Devolved are a technical death metal band from the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
Devolved was voted Australian Metal Band of the Year by both listeners and staff of Triple J radio in 2001. Devolved toured extensively through the UK and Europe in 2002 and, after returning to Australia, played shows in Japan with Japanese metalcore act Sun's Owl. Devolved have also performed at the long-running annual Metal For The Brain festival.
Following a national tour to support their second album, Calculated, Devolved relocated to the United States in early 2005 and are now based in Los Angeles.
