[edit] Packaging

A sheet of stickers was packaged with the game. There were four stickers; one of the face of the cartridge, another for the cartridge spine, and then two others: one of the Devil Man logo and one with the Namco logo.

[edit] Characters

  • Akira Fudo- The main character in the game, Akira has the ability to transform into Devilman.
  • Ryo Asuka- Akira's best friend.
  • Miki Makamura- Has secret feelings for Akira.
  • Zenon- The demon lord. Your goal in the game is to defeat him.

[edit] Gameplay

You will be mostly controlling Akira though at certain points you will guide Miki, school friend Dosuroku and others. As Akira the player can destroy demons to increase his Ikari. Once you have enough Ikari you can transform into Devilman but use of his attacks will deplete his power. The object of the game is to follow the clues that will lead you through the ruined city, into underground caves, around a hidden military base and finally into a confrontation with Zenon.

You can continue your adventure via passwords.

[edit] Endings

In an unusual move for a game of its age, Devil Man offers three different endings. The ending you get depends on your actions during the game.
