Devil's Gallop

Devil's Gallop is the memorable theme tune to the radio serial Dick Barton, and was composed by Charles Williams.

Those of a younger generation may know it as the incidental music to the final stages of The Spanish Inquisition sketch by Monty Python. For those of an even younger generation, it has also reappeared recently as the (hummed) music to The Surprising Adventures of Sir Digby Chicken-Caesar sketch on That Mitchell and Webb Look.

It was also used many times in the 30 Rock episode Tracy Does Conan.

The song was also used in the CITV childrens show ZZZap! and was the theme to the character 'Tricky Dicky'

This music was an inspiration for Rob Hubbard while he was composing a soundtrack for Monty On the Run C64 game (source: STIL database of HVSC).
