Detvianska Huta (earlier Mikulássowá; Hungarian: Zólyommiklós, before 1907 Dettvahuta, Miklósfalu, Miklosfalva) is a village and municipality in Detva District, in the Banská Bystrica Region of central Slovakia.

[edit] History

It arose in the late 18th century by a merge of several villages and a glass works settlement (Detvianska Huta literally means "Detva (Glass) Works"), which had been founded by the noble Miklos Esterházy.
