Detective Investigation Files Series

Detective Investigation Files is a popular TV series in Hong Kong about detectives, produced by TVB. The series had four installments, spanning from 1995 to 1999.
Michael Tao Dai Yu, Leung Wing Chung and Kenix Kwok Ho Ying starred in the first two in 1995 and the third one in 1997. The fourth installment, broadcast in 1999, was a complete reboot of the series, with new cast led by Louis Koo Tin Lok, Sunny Chan Kam Hung and Jessica Hester Hsuan.
As of 2006, there are no signs so far that TVB will continue the series, despite the serie's popularity.

- There are some who suggested that the entire franchise is a blatant ripoff of the popular Manga Kindaichi Case Files.
- The entire series franchise is considered to be the bloodiest ever made by TVB. The series, which mostly deals with murder investigation, among other matters, featured more than 40 murder victims in its four installments. This would mean that there is a murder committed every 100 minutes.
