The tribe Detarieae is one of the subdivisions of the plant family Fabaceae, which includes the legumes. This tribe includes many tropical trees including some that are used for timber or that are ecologically important. The tribe includes 81 genera, 53 of which are native to Africa. Species include the Pride of Burma (Amherstia nobilis).
