[edit] Wiki mark up

The three 's that you talk about on Talk:HSBC are part of the markup that is used in wikiprojects to ensure that articles appear how they are intended. It may be that you are having some difficulty with your browser or preferences within wikipedia. For reference

  • ''Word'' makes a term italic
  • '''Word''' makes a term bold

The tutorials listed in your welcome message will be a good place to start if you want to find out more. Ian3055 23:23, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

Strange, it shows up perfectly fine (i.e. in bold) today. I was/am aware of the markup, but it was being displayed as different types of 's (some ', some ", some `) yesterday, which was why I asked. I'll have to see if I can reproduce it. Thank you. --Despair 06:22, 25 April 2006 (UTC) Ah, I see that they were in fact just the wrong tags, and hav been replaced. --Despair 06:29, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
