[edit] Chat Site
Hi. I took the link off because I thought that it was counter to WP:EL, the wikipedia policy on external links. Looking at the site, and from your comment, it looks like you maintain the site. Adding links to sites you own or maintain is considered conflict of interest, even if it fulfils other criteria for linking. The idea is that if a site is notable and/or relevant someone else will find it and link it.
If you read the section on "Links normally to be avoided" you will see listed:
7. Links to social networking sites (such as MySpace), or discussion forums.
11. A website that you own, maintain or are acting as an agent for; even if the guidelines otherwise imply that it should be linked to.
also:
"A site that requires registration or a subscription should not be linked to unless:
- The web site itself is the topic of the article, or
- It has relevant content that is of substantially higher quality than that available from any other website."
We get a lot of anonymous IPs who add extlinks to blogs, chat sites and the like with the sole intention of increasing traffic. I'm not suggesting you are one of those, but the only links added by User:82.14.201.41 (you?) were to that site, which looked fishy.
Hope that makes sense?
