Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee was a fighting video game released in 2002, created by Pipeworks Software, Inc. for the Nintendo GameCube and Microsoft Xbox. As one may gather from the title, the players can assume control of several giant monsters from the Godzilla film series. The plot involves an alien race known as the Vortaak (from the planet of the same name) invading the Earth and assuming control of the planet's monsters, sending them to attack cities across the globe. One monster (whichever the player chooses), however, breaks free from the Vortaak's control, and battles the other monsters. It garnered genrally good reviews in the media.[citation needed] Its sequels are Godzilla: Save the Earth in 2004 and Godzilla Unleashed in 2007.

[edit] Trivia

  • When Rodan uses a certain attack, Anguirus's roar is heard.
  • When Mechagodzilla is fought at the end at the mothership, the UFOs do not attack him, but the same is not true when fought at this map in versus mode.
  • When Hedorah flies, the military and the people in the cars are uneffected by him, despite the fact that his gases should be killing them.
