After their secret reunion in mid-2006 the No Angels eventually entered recording studios in Cologne in January 2007 to begin working on their then-untitled fourth album. Although the band members each had written songs for the album by themselves, they eventually decided not to include self-written material since Benaissa, Diakovska, Mölling, and Wahls struggled finding a stylistic "main thread" within their own songs.[1] Instead, the band began recording eight partially exclusive written tracks by production duo Twin, among the album's lead single "Goodbye to Yesterday," Trine Rein's Melodi Grand Prix 2006 song "Maybe," and two tracks from Swedish singer Agnes Carlsson's 2006 album Stronger. After a few promotional appearances in early February 2007 the No Angels re-entered the studios to record another eight songs for Destiny.[1] In the end, thirteen out of a total of sixteen tracks made it to the final tracklisting.
