Destination Anywhere is Jon Bon Jovi's second solo album after his musical contribution to the film Young Guns II. The production is very different to the ones found in Bon Jovi albums, with drum loops, female backing vocals and Bon Jovi himself singing in a lower register in most of the songs. Only his band mate David Bryan contributed to the album, but also one of the co-writers of songs such as Livin' On A Prayer, Desmond Child, plays the tuba in the song "Ugly" and is one of the producers.

[edit] August 7, 4:15 - Background

Bon Jovi’s tour manager at the time, Paul Korzilius, had a 6-year old daughter named Katherine Korzilius. On August 7, 1996 on their way home, her mother and brother dropped her off at their mailbox approximately 1/8th of a mile from their home so she could get the mail and then come home. She usually took about 30 minutes to make it to the mailbox from their home, and then back again. An hour after dropping Katherine off, she had not returned home. They drove to the mailbox, but did not see her along the route. Driving the full circle of their suburban neighborhood, they found her body in the street. Police initially thought that she may have attempted to jump on the van as her mother and brother drove off. However, since she had a splint on one of her hands for a broken thumb and the metal on the van would’ve been extremely hot due to the summer heat, this scenario was ruled out. More importantly, dogs tracked Katherine’s scent to a vacant lot where the scent stopped, only to be picked up again where her body had been found. With this fact, police theorized that her attacker approached her, she ran into the vacant lot, was caught, and taken into the vehicle. Her body was then dumped onto the road. The coroner’s report stated she had a fractured skull and multiple cuts and bruises. Her murderer has yet to be found.
