[edit] Synopsis

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Wyatt's impending school play brings out the competitive nature in Piper when her hand-sewn costume for Wyatt and her parenting ability are insulted by Mandi, the perfect Stepford-like mother. Unbeknownst to Piper, Mandi is secretly possessed by a demon, befriending Wyatt so that she can kidnap him to use his powers to bring back the previous Source that had possessed Cole, and create the perfect demon family. Meanwhile, bored with learning the basics of magic but intrigued with the idea of Magic School, Billie uses a potion to send her and Leo to the school. Once there, they realize that the school has been taken over by demons who have kidnapped Wyatt. Knowing that Phoebe feels Dex is the one, Paige worries when she suspects he is seeing another woman, and decides to intervene.

[edit] Trivia

  • The episode title is a play on words to the television series Desperate Housewives.
  • Actor Peter Woodward returns as the Source in this episode, whom he previously portrayed beginning in the episode Charmed and Dangerous.
  • Phoebe and the writers confuse astronomy with astrology in the opening sequence. Phoebe is using astrology (the Zodiac and it's influence) but refers to it as "astronomy" (the study of the stars).
  • Billie creates her first potion in this episode.
  • Paige asked how they vanquished the Source the last time, which she should know because she was there. She said the spell with Piper and Phoebe in both Charmed and Dangerous and Long Live the Queen. This was a mistake by the writers and a lot of fans were angry about it. Opinion: This could be a falsehood in which the last time the Source was vanquished, the Charmed Ones had the Seer use the powers of Phoebe's baby to overload herself, thereby destroying the Source and all the demons present.( Many fans forget that Paige hits her head hard and loses part of her recent memories which could explain why she cant remember how they did it the last time)
