Desperado

Desperado ('desperate' in Spanish — this an old usage of the word, today desesperado is far more common) means a violent and reckless person who performs some spectacular feats.

  • Actor Alex McArthur starred as a Western drifter named Duell McCall in the 1987 NBC television series "Desperado" and its three sequels. McArthur would later appear on an episode of Seinfeld as Elaine Benes' yuppie boyfriend Brett. Whenever the Eagles' song Desperado played on the radio, Brett would pause and be entranced, a comedic play on his former character Duell McCall.
  • Desperado is a Norwegian Hardcoreband which was founded in 2003.
  • A Desperado is an alcoholic beverage of tequila flavoured beer and limeade, branded under the name Desperados by French brewers Fischer, widely known as 'Despé'.
