Desired Life Ministries (DLM), is an evangelical Christian 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in the United States. The organization describes itself as "teaching men and women what their spiritual lives have to do with the rest of their lives". The group is headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas. Desired Life Ministries is one of a number of evangelical parachurch organizations whose stated aim is not to start a new church or denomination, but to work interdenominationally to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
DLM teaches that Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, the Son of God, is the source and means for the realization and fulfillment of peoples' basic needs and desires, both eternally and temporally. All of the organization's promotional activities such as retreats, conferences and discipleship programs are geared towards that guiding principle.
The organization teaches the HMV Life Map (which stands for Heart, Mind & Vision) as the way for learning what a person's spiritual life has to do with the rest of their life. The ministry is the parent organization for the Kingdom Manor Institute and has been largely influenced by the works of Francis Schaeffer who along with his wife Edith founded the L'Abri community in Switzerland. Other notable influences have been the teachings of John Eldredge's Ransomed Heart Ministries, C. S. Lewis, Bill Bright of Campus Crusade for Christ and Jerry Johnston of First Family Church, Overland Park, Kansas.
