From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Des Moines Oak Leafs, later known as the Des Moines Capitols, were a professional ice hockey team in Des Moines, Iowa. They were a member of the United States Hockey League from 1961 to 1963 and the International Hockey League from 1963 to 1972 as the Oak Leafs, and in the IHL from 1972 to 1975 as the Capitols.
