[edit] Re: Starving Jesus
Thanks for the extra work and thanks for letting me know, but we still don't have articles on every book that's ever been published or that's ever gotten in one news story. Opabinia regalis 03:47, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome! AWB...
Welcome!
Hello, Derek Cormier, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome! Thanks for applying to use AWB. I can see you've done some good work on Wikipedia, despite your relative new-ness, especially with Starving Jesus. I've wikified Starving Jesus and voted with some justification on the AfD to keep the article from being deleted, with your addition of an ISBN there is no problem in verifying it.
Regarding your application to use AWB, I'm not sure if you checked the registration details, but generally it takes about 500 mainspace edits to get approval:
- As a general rule users with more than 500 mainspace edits will be registered.
I'm sure you just overlooked that bit, don't worry about it. On the registration page, you created a heading with an entry titled with your username. The general procedure is just to create a bullet point under 'Names', like so:
- * [[User:ExampleUser]]
Please keep this in mind if you ever need to apply again. And regarding your question about using Word to edit articles, it is in fact possible to do this but I highly advise against it. The editor built in to Wikipedia is far better than Word for the purpose, you will find that Word's lack of the basic features required for Wikipedia (like the shortcut bar above) will make editing Wikipedia articles in Word somewhat frustrating. However, if you'd really like to try, see Wikipedia:Text editor support. --Draicone (talk) 06:35, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] AfD Starving Jesus, Barnstar and other matters
Hi there, Thanks for the Barnstar, Its good to know my work is appreciated. I personally thought your addition of an ISBN was more than enough, so I went ahead and wikified the article, voted strong keep in the AfD and broke the consensus, resulting in the article being kept. I really don't think it ws fair to delete the article; next time this happens to you, gently point out WP:BITE to someone and you should be treated a little more fairly. Have fun editing! --Draicone (talk) 08:33, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Porn warning
Please stop putting warnings on these articles. They don't contain any explicit information, most don't even contain pictures. Wikipedia is not censored. --Golbez 22:24, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] AWB
Derek,
You need 500 mainspace edits to be approved for AWB. As you aren't close, I'm rejecting your application. Feel free to reapply at a later time. alphachimp 08:11, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
