Fortunately, I remembered what my biologist friend told me – try to be just like them. Stare madly into their eyes and they'll soon be reduced to pathetic pup-like creatures. I flashed my craziest gaze at them and soon their barks whimpered into squeaks as I strolled heroically towards the rubbish bins.

“You have to admit, I was a hero for not getting bitten,” I boasted to my friend via my mobile phone.
