I am a 23 year old Scot. My name is an unusual mixture: Welsh first name, and Irish surname.

Science: chiefly Physics, but I can find my way around Physiological and Biological papers in a pinch
Music: I play Guitar and Piano, and at the moment I'm trying to learn as much of the Well Tempered Clavier as I can. I have yet to see a live Opera, but I'm determined to see one by the end of 2005. Recommendations always welcome. I'm also a big fan of Heavy Metal and Hip-Hop.
Reading: ...or literature if I'm feeling pretentious ;) Currently struggling to finish Les Particules Élémentaires by Michel Houellebecq, but my French is not great. Iain Banks is one of my favourite authors.
Politics: I'm not an expert, but I try to keep up-to-date. I could be described as left-wing, but I grew disillusioned with the leftist consensus some time ago.
Free Software: links to the above entry, really. I use Ubuntu Linux day-to-day.
Languages: I am trying to learn Russian, and would love to go to Russia one day.

None yet- I'm rather cowed by the fearsome learning of the population here, so I'm correcting spelling, grammar, and typos in articles that I read.
