This place is also the origin of 'Derewallahs' like me, Karan Bhatia (refer o Bhatiya Bazaar in the city). After the partition the Bhatia clan left behind all their gold caskets and had to un for a new home in India. Presently Bhatia clan has been diversified into punjabis (mostly), sindhis and even gujaratis.

I don't know but i think that Bhatias are basically Bhatti rajputs. Yes there is still a Bhatiya bazar in D.I.khan, which is currently populated by mostly immigrant community from India that came here after partition. --Bhatti 13:20, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
