Derry People/Donegal News

Derry People/Donegal News or simply Donegal News is a newspaper published in Letterkenny, County Donegal by The North West of Ireland Printing & Publishing Co. Ltd. As the name suggests, the paper originally catered for Northern Irish people living in Donegal but it is now regarded as a more general, local newspaper for the North and East of the county. Published weekly on a Thursday evening, its current editor is Columba Gill, with Deputy Editor, C.J. McGinley. Reporters include Harry Walsh, Colm P. Feeny, Kate Heaney among others. The paper reports on local events and local sport in the main, as well as devoting space to "local notes", where unpaid correspondents submit reports on births, deaths and marriages in theri particular town.

A number of regular features are also carried, such as Friday Talk and The Last Corncrake, as well as a column in the Irish language, Scéal Eile. The entertainment supplement carries regular columns relating to television, cinema, travel and health.
